Books Worth a Look!

In honor of National Library Week, the Kendall Campus Library News is introducing a new feature called Books Worth a Look. Each month, we'll ask a member of the Kendall Campus community to recommend a book they think our students might enjoy.

To start things off, Professor Greg Ballinger from the Department of Computer Information Systems recommends Charles Willeford's 1984 crime novel Miami Blues:

"It has an important character who is a Miami Dade student, it is a book written by a former Miami Dade professor, and it is a fun read because Willeford writes with dark humor and you can recognize many sites within Miami." Professor Ballinger also points out that Willeford's Wikipedia page quotes several contemporary writers, such as Quentin Tarantino, who mention Willeford's influence on their work.
